DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

Step	Check	Yes	No
1 CHECK HARNESS BETWEEN ECM AND SECONDARY AIR COMBINATION VALVE RELAY 1 CONNECTOR. Turn the ignition switch to OFF. Disconnect the connector from ECM. Remove the secondary air combination valve relay 1. Measure the voltage between ECM connector and chassis ground. Connector & terminal (B135) No. 8 (+) - Chassis ground (-):	Is the voltage 10 V or more?	Repair the short circuit to power in harness between ECM connector and secondary air combination valve relay 1 connector.	Go to step 2.
2 CHECK HARNESS BETWEEN ECM AND SECONDARY AIR COMBINATION VALVE RELAY 2 CONNECTOR. Turn the ignition switch to OFF. Disconnect the connector from ECM. Remove the secondary air combination valve relay 2. Measure the voltage between ECM connector and chassis ground. Connector & terminal (B135) No. 20 (+) - Chassis ground (-):	Is the voltage 10 V or more?	Repair the short circuit to power in harness between ECM connector and secondary air combination valve relay 2 connector.	Repair the poor contact of ECM connector.
