CVTF Cooler Pipe and Hose: Installation

CAUTION: When installing the CVTF cooler pipe assembly on vehicle side, be careful not to bend the A/C pipe.
  1. Temporarily install the CVTF cooler pipe COMPL, transmission hanger and transmission radio ground cord to the transmission.
    NOTE: Use a new gasket.
  2. Tighten the union screws and bolts in the order of (A) → (B) → (C).

    Tightening torque: 

    T1: 35 N.m (3.6 kgf-m, 25.8 ft-lb) 

    T2: 40 N.m (4.1 kgf-m, 29.5 ft-lb) 

    T3: 41 N.m (4.2 kgf-m, 30.2 ft-lb)

  3. Install the transmission case cover.

    Tightening torque: 

    8 N.m (0.8 kgf-m, 5.9 ft-lb)

  4. Install the adapter harness connector to the transmission hanger.

    Connect the following harness connectors.

    • Transmission harness connectors
    • Inhibitor harness connector
    • Transmission radio ground terminal

    Tightening torque: 

    13 N.m (1.3 kgf-m, 9.6 ft-lb)

  5. Install the CVTF cooler pipe assembly to vehicle.

    Tightening torque: 

    7.5 N.m (0.76 kgf-m, 5.5 ft-lb)

  6. Install the A/C pipe to clip.
  7. Install the battery cable bracket, and install the battery cable clip to the bracket.

    Tightening torque: 

    7.5 N.m (0.76 kgf-m, 5.5 ft-lb)

  8. Install the engine coolant reservoir tank. Refer to INSTALLATION .
  9. Lift up the vehicle.
  10. Install the CVTF CVT inlet hose and CVTF CVT outlet hose.
    NOTE: Use new CVTF CVT inlet hose and CVTF CVT outlet hose.

  11. Install the CVTF radiator inlet hose and CVTF radiator outlet hose on radiator side.
    NOTE: Use new CVTF radiator inlet hose and CVTF radiator outlet hose.

  12. Install the under cover.
  13. Lower the vehicle.
  14. Install the battery.
  15. Adjust the CVTF level and check there is no leakage. Refer to ADJUSTMENT .
