Transfer Driven Gear: Installation

  1. Install the bearing outer race to transfer case.

  2. Install the transfer driven gear and center differential as a unit.

  3. Select a thrust washer. Refer to INSTALLATION .
  4. Install the selected thrust washer and bearing outer race to the extension case.
  5. Install the transfer case and the extension case assembly. Refer to INSTALLATION .
  6. Install the back-up light switch and the neutral position switch. Refer to INSTALLATION .
  7. Install the manual transmission assembly to the vehicle. Refer to INSTALLATION .
