SERVICE INFORMATION
If you experience a customer concern of an air pressure leak or air rushing-type noise under boost conditions, the Techline has confirmed a small number of cases where the intake duct leading from the intercooler to the throttle body was out of position. The cases have both been on 2012 Impreza WRX models but, it is possible a similar condition could be found on other turbocharged vehicles. In the reports received, the Technician removed the clamp securing the duct to the throttle body, confirmed the duct is properly positioned then re-secured the clamp. As always, be sure to confirm the repair with a road test before releasing the car. In the photo below, the circled clamp and air duct were not properly positioned, resulting in the noise.
