SERVICE INFORMATION

We have received a small number of reports of a popping or ticking noise coming from the upper "B" pillar area near the shoulder belt slider mechanism. It seems the noise is more prevalent after the vehicle is fully up to temperature. The noise was isolated to a sunroof frame mounting bracket found to be rubbing on the roof structure behind the curtain airbag module. The bracket was isolated from the metal of the roof area where bolted with some foam tape under the bracket flanges, then the bolts re-tightened to the proper specification (12.7 nm +/- 3.0 nm) or 9-10 ft. lbs. A countermeasure was introduced since production date 11-22-2010.
