Body Integrated Unit: Removal
NOTE:
- When replacing the body integrated unit
- Prepare the security ID plate.
- For models with immobilizers, prepare the required number of new immobilizer keys (unregistered).
- When replacing the body integrated unit, check the current settings and record it. Refer to READ CURRENT DATA .
- After replacing the body integrated unit with immobilizer
- Register the immobilizer. For detailed operation procedures, refer to the PC application help for Subaru Select Monitor.
- Set the current settings according to what was recorded.
- Disconnect the ground cable from the battery.
- Remove the driver's side instrument panel lower cover. Refer to REMOVAL , Instrument Panel Lower Cover.
- Remove the knee guard panel.
- Disconnect the connector of body integrated unit.CAUTION: Be careful to keep water and other foreign materials away from body integrated unit.
- Remove two mounting nuts for body integrated unit bracket, and remove the body integrated unit.
