Section 13 (Cooling System (H4SO)): Thermostat: Removal

Set the vehicle on a lift.
Lift-up the vehicle.
Remove the under cover.
Drain engine coolant completely. < Ref. to DRAINING OF ENGINE COOLANT , REPLACEMENT, Engine Coolant. >
Remove the front exhaust pipe. < Ref. to REMOVAL , Front Exhaust Pipe. >
Disconnect the radiator outlet hose from thermostat cover.

Remove the thermostat cover and gasket, then remove the thermostat.
