- Test mode connector circuit is shorted.
- TROUBLE SYMPTOM:
- MIL blinks at a cycle of 3 Hz when ignition switch is turned to ON.

1 CHECK TEST MODE CONNECTOR.

Does MIL flash on and off? | Go to step 2. | System is in good order.
NOTE:
MIL blinks at a cycle of 3 Hz when test mode connector is connected.

2 CHECK HARNESS BETWEEN ECM CONNECTOR AND ENGINE GROUNDING TERMINAL.

Is the measured value more than 1 MΩ? | Replace ECM. < Ref. to ENGINE CONTROL MODULE . > | Repair short circuit in harness between ECM and test mode connector. |
