DTC P1447 - Fuel Tank Sensor Control Valve Circuit High -

DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

Step Check Yes No
1 CHECK INPUT SIGNAL FOR ECM. 
  1. Turn ignition switch to ON.
  2. Measure voltage between ECM and chassis ground.

    Connector & terminal 

    (B134) No. 1 (+) - Chassis ground (-): 

Is the measured value more than 10 V? Go to step 3.  Go to step 2. 
2 CHECK POOR CONTACT. 
Check poor contact in ECM connector.
Is there poor contact in ECM connector? Repair poor contact in ECM connector. Replace ECM. < Ref. to ENGINE CONTROL MODULE . >
3 CHECK HARNESS BETWEEN FUEL TANK SENSOR CONTROL VALVE AND ECM CONNECTOR. 
  1. Turn ignition switch to OFF.
  2. Disconnect connector from fuel tank sensor control valve.
  3. Turn ignition switch to ON.
  4. Measure voltage between ECM and chassis ground.

    Connector & terminal 

    (B134) No. 1 (+) - Chassis ground (-): 

Is the measured value more than 10 V? Repair battery short circuit in harness between ECM and fuel tank sensor control valve connector. After repair, replace ECM. < Ref. to ENGINE CONTROL MODULE . > Go to step 4. 
4 CHECK DRAIN VALVE. 
  1. Turn ignition switch to OFF.
  2. Measure resistance between fuel tank sensor control valve terminals.

    Terminals No. 1 - No. 2: 

Is the measured value less than 1 Ω? Replace fuel tank sensor control valve < Ref. to FUEL TANK SENSOR CONTROL VALVE > and ECM < Ref. to ENGINE CONTROL MODULE . > Go to step 5. 
5 CHECK POOR CONTACT. 
Check poor contact in ECM connector.
Is there poor contact in ECM connector? Repair poor contact in ECM connector. Replace ECM. < Ref. to ENGINE CONTROL MODULE . >
