- DTC DETECTING CONDITION:
- Detected simultaneously at occurrence of malfunction.
CAUTION: After repair or replacement of malfunctioning parts, conduct Clear Memory Mode < Ref. to OPERATION , CLEAR MEMORY MODE > and INSPECTION MODE < Ref. to OPERATION , INSPECTION MODE. > - WIRING DIAGRAM:

1 CHECK CURRENT DATA.
NOTE:

Is the measured value less than -40°C (-40°F)? | Go to step 2. | Repair poor contact.
NOTE:
In this case, repair the following:

2 CHECK HARNESS BETWEEN FUEL TEMPERATURE SENSOR AND ECM CONNECTOR.
|
Is the measured value more than 10 V? | Repair battery short circuit in harness between ECM and fuel pump connector. | Go to step 3. |
3 CHECK HARNESS BETWEEN FUEL TEMPERATURE SENSOR AND ECM CONNECTOR.

Is the measured value more than 10 V? | Repair battery short circuit in harness between ECM and fuel pump connector. | Go to step 4. |
| 4 CHECK HARNESS BETWEEN FUEL TEMPERATURE SENSOR AND ECM CONNECTOR. Measure voltage between fuel pump connector and chassis ground. Connector & terminal (R58) No. 5 (+) - Chassis ground (-): |
Is the measured value more than 4 V? | Go to step 5. | Repair harness and connector.
NOTE:
In this case, repair the following:

5 CHECK HARNESS BETWEEN FUEL TEMPERATURE SENSOR AND ECM CONNECTOR.

Is the measured value less than 5 Ω? | Replace fuel temperature sensor. < Ref. to FUEL TEMPERATURE SENSOR . > | Repair harness and connector.
