DTC P0111 - Intake Air Temperature Circuit Range/Performance -

DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

Step Check Yes No
1 CHECK ANY OTHER DTC ON DISPLAY.  Is any other DTC displayed? Inspect the relevant DTC using "List of Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC)". < Ref. to LIST OF DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) . >
NOTE: In this case, it is not necessary to inspect DTC P0111.
Go to step 2. 
2 CHECK ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE. 
  1. Start the engine and warm it up completely.
  2. Measure engine coolant temperature using Subaru Select Monitor or general scan tool.
NOTE:
  • Subaru Select Monitor

    For detailed operation procedure, refer to the "READ CURRENT DATA FOR ENGINE". < Ref. to SUBARU SELECT MONITOR . >

  • General scan tool

    For detailed operation procedures, refer to the General Scan Tool Instruction Manual.

Is the measured value within 75 to 95°C (167 to 203°F)? Replace intake air temperature sensor. < Ref. to REMOVAL , INTAKE AIR TEMPERATURE SENSOR. > Inspect DTC P0125 using "List of Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC)". < Ref. to LIST OF DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) . >
