WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

Step Check Yes No
1 CHECK INPUT SIGNAL FROM ECM.
  1. Turn ignition switch to ON.
  2. Measure voltage between ECM and chassis ground.

    Connector & terminal

    (B134) No. 12 (+) - Chassis ground (-):

Is the measured value more than 10 V? Go to step 2.  Go to step 3.
2 CHECK OUTPUT SIGNAL FROM ECM.
  1. Turn ignition switch to OFF.
  2. Disconnect connector from air assist injector solenoid valve.
  3. Turn ignition switch to ON.
  4. Measure voltage between ECM and chassis ground.

    Connector & terminal

    (B134) No. 12 (+) - Chassis ground (-):

Is the measured value more than 10 V? Repair battery short circuit in harness between ECM and air assist injector solenoid valve connector. After repair, replace ECM. < Ref. to ENGINE CONTROL MODULE . > Replace air assist injector solenoid valve < Ref. to AIR ASSIST INJECTOR SOLENOID VALVE > and ECM < Ref. to ENGINE CONTROL MODULE . >
3 CHECK INPUT SIGNAL FROM ECM.
Measure voltage between ECM and chassis ground.
Connector & terminal
(B134) No. 12(+) - Chassis ground (-):
Does the measured value exceed the specified value by shaking harness and connector of ECM while monitoring the value with voltage meter?
Is the measured value more than 10 V? Repair battery short circuit in harness between ECM and air assist injector solenoid valve connector. After repair, replace ECM. < Ref. to ENGINE CONTROL MODULE . > Contact with SOA (distributor) service.
NOTE: Inspection by DTM is required, because probable cause is deterioration of multiple parts.
