Center Exhaust Pipe: Removal

Set the vehicle on a lift.
Disconnect the ground cable from battery.
Remove the intercooler. < Ref. to REMOVAL , INTERCOOLER. >
Remove the intercooler bracket.

Lift-up the vehicle.
Remove the under cover.
Remove the bolts which install the turbocharger joint pipe side of turbocharger lower cover.
CAUTION: Be careful, the turbocharger and exhaust pipe are hot.

Lower the vehicle.
Remove the turbocharger upper cover.

Remove the bolts which install the center exhaust pipe side of turbocharger lower cover.

Separate the center exhaust pipe from turbocharger.

Lift-up the vehicle.
Disconnect the connector from rear oxygen sensor.

Vertically draw out the clip from crossmember.

Separate the center exhaust pipe from rear exhaust pipe.

Remove the bolt which holds the center exhaust pipe bracket to transmission.

Remove the intercooler bracket.
Remove the bolt which holds the center exhaust pipe to hanger bracket.
CAUTION: Be careful not to pull down the center exhaust pipe.
