Front Exhaust Pipe: Removal

Disconnect the battery ground cable.

Disconnect the front oxygen (A/F) sensor connector.

Disconnect the front oxygen sensor connector.

Lift-up the vehicle.
Remove the under cover.
Remove the front oxygen (A/F) sensor harness from bracket.

Remove the clips which hold LH side oxygen sensor harness.

Remove the RH side front oxygen sensor harness from bracket.

Disconnect the rear oxygen sensor connector.

Separate the front exhaust pipe assembly from rear exhaust pipe.
WARNING: Be careful, exhaust pipe is hot.

Remove the nuts which hold front exhaust pipe onto cylinder heads.
CAUTION: Be careful not to pull down front exhaust pipe assembly.

Remove the bolt which secures front exhaust pipe assembly to hanger bracket.

Remove the front exhaust pipe from the vehicle.
CAUTION:
- Disconnect front oxygen (A/F) sensor, front oxygen sensor and rear oxygen sensor harness from bracket.
- Be careful not to let front exhaust pipe assembly fall off when removing as it is quite heavy.
- After removing front exhaust pipe assembly, do not apply excessive pulling force on rear exhaust pipe.
Separate the front exhaust pipe (RH) from front exhaust pipe assembly.

Disconnect the front oxygen (A/F) sensor, front oxygen sensor and rear oxygen sensor. Refer to FRONT OXYGEN (A/F) SENSOR , FRONT OXYGEN SENSOR or REAR OXYGEN SENSOR .
