Front Exhaust Pipe: Removal

- Disconnect the battery ground cable.
- Disconnect the front oxygen (A/F) sensor connector.
- LH side
- RH side
- Disconnect the front oxygen sensor connector.
- LH side
- RH side
- Lift-up the vehicle.
- Remove the under cover.
- Remove the front oxygen (A/F) sensor harness from bracket.
- LH side
- RH side
- Remove the clips which hold LH side oxygen sensor harness.
- Remove the RH side front oxygen sensor harness from bracket.
- Disconnect the rear oxygen sensor connector.
- Separate the front exhaust pipe assembly from rear exhaust pipe.WARNING: Be careful, exhaust pipe is hot.
- Remove the nuts which hold front exhaust pipe onto cylinder heads.CAUTION: Be careful not to pull down front exhaust pipe assembly.
- Remove the bolt which secures front exhaust pipe assembly to hanger bracket.
- Remove the front exhaust pipe from the vehicle.CAUTION:
- Disconnect front oxygen (A/F) sensor, front oxygen sensor and rear oxygen sensor harness from bracket.
- Be careful not to let front exhaust pipe assembly fall off when removing as it is quite heavy.
- After removing front exhaust pipe assembly, do not apply excessive pulling force on rear exhaust pipe.
- Separate the front exhaust pipe (RH) from front exhaust pipe assembly.
- Disconnect the front oxygen (A/F) sensor, front oxygen sensor and rear oxygen sensor. Refer to FRONT OXYGEN (A/F) SENSOR , FRONT OXYGEN SENSOR or REAR OXYGEN SENSOR .
