PHV (Pressure Hold Valve)
- Install the PHV onto side frame.
Tightening torque:
18 N.m (1.8 kgf-m, 13.0 ft-lb)
- Connect the brake pipes to PHV.
Tightening torque:
15 N.m (1.5 kgf-m, 10.8 ft-lb)
CAUTION: Confirm that the brake pipes are not deformed and/or damaged. Replace them with new ones if necessary. - Install the PHV cable to PHV.CAUTION:
- If the cable clamp (and clips) is damaged, replace it with a new one.
- Avoid sharp bending of PHV cable as it may cause breakage.
- Connect the PHV cable with clips.
- Apply grease to the following points.
- Hook portion of return spring
- Cable end portion of lever
Grease: SUNLIGHT 2 (Part No. 003602010)
- Be sure to bleed air from the brake system. < Ref. to AIR BLEEDING . >
- Adjust the PHV cable. < Ref. to PHV CABLE , Installation, Hill Holders
CAUTION:
After replacing the PHV cable with new one, operate the clutch pedal about 30 times as a running-in operation prior to adjustment.
