DTC P1112: Atmospheric Pressure Sensor Circuit Range/Performance Problem (Forester, IMPREZA & Outback Sport)

  1. Perform test procedure. See TESTING PROCEDURE . If DTC P1112 is only code set, go to next step. If any other DTCs are present, diagnose and repair those codes. See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE DEFINITIONS . Do not diagnose DTC P1112. Clear memory and perform verification procedure. See CLEARING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES  and VERIFICATION PROCEDURE  .
  2. Turn ignition off. Disconnect 3-pin electrical harness connector from atmospheric pressure sensor. Remove atmospheric pressure sensor. Check atmospheric pressure sensor filter for contamination, damage, water leakage, etc. If filter is okay, go to next step. Replace filter as necessary. Clear memory and perform verification procedure. See CLEARING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES  and VERIFICATION PROCEDURE  .
  3. Turn ignition on. Using a scan tool, observe intake manifold absolute pressure signal. If intake manifold absolute pressure signal is between 21.65 in. Hg and 31.50 in. Hg, replace atmospheric pressure sensor. If intake manifold absolute pressure signal is not between 21.65 in. Hg and 31.50 in. Hg, replace intake air temperature and pressure sensor.
