Air Bag Warning Light
CAUTION:
Before diagnosing the air bag system, be sure to turn the ignition switch OFF, disconnect the ground cable from the battery, and wait more than 20 seconds before starting to work. Before replacing the air bag module, roll connector, control module, and sensor, reconnect each part and confirm that the warning light operates properly. When inspecting the air bag main harness, disconnect the air bag module connector of the driver and passenger seats for safety reasons.
DIAGNOSIS: LIGHT REMAINS ON
- Air bag warning light is faulty.
- Air bag control module to air bag warning light circuit is shorted or open.
- Grounding circuit is faulty.
- Air bag control module is faulty.
- AB1 and B21 are not connected properly. See Fig 1 .
- AB6 is not connected properly to air bag control module.
DIAGNOSIS: LIGHT REMAINS OFF
- Fuse no. 5 in fuse box is blown. See Fig 1 .
- Body harness circuit is open.
- Air bag warning light is faulty.
- Air bag main harness is faulty.
- Air bag control module is faulty.
