VDC (Vehicle Dynamics Control) Off Indicator Light (If Equipped)
NOTE:
This light may stay on for a while after the engine has started, especially in cold weather, which does not indicate a problem. The light should go out as soon as the engine has warmed. The light comes on when the engine has developed a problem and the CHECK ENGINE warning light is on. See Figure
for lamp location.
NORMAL
- Indicator light comes on when ignition switch is turned ON, and it goes out about six seconds after the engine has started.
- Indicator light comes on when the VDC system is deactivated by the VDC OFF switch or is in standby.
The VDC system is probably faulty under any of the following condition:
ABNORMAL
- Indicator light does not come on when the ignition switch is turned to the ON position.
- Indicator light does not go out after several minutes have passed with the engine started and warmed.
