Warning & Indicator Lights: Notes

When ignition switch is initially turned to the ON position, several warning and indicator lights will illuminate momentarily then go out. Bulb operation can be checked at this time. Apply the parking brake and turn the ignition switch to the ON position, and the following lights will come on:

To identify light locations within the combination meter panel, see Fig 1 and Fig 3 . If any lights fail to operate, it indicates a burned-out bulb or a malfunction of the corresponding system.

  1. WARNING AND INDICATOR LIGHTS  - If everything is normal, the warning and indicator lights should be ON or OFF as shown in Fig 2 , depending upon the ignition switch position.
  2. TELLTALE (GRAPHIC MONITOR)  - If everything is normal, the telltale lights should be as shown in Fig 4 , depending upon ignition switch position.
