Vehicle Dynamic Control OFF Switch

NOTE: Pressing the VDC OFF switch toggles the system's status between "temporarily disengaged" and "engaged." If the switch is pressed and held for more than 10 seconds, the VDC OFF indicator light in the combination meter will shut off. The system will disallow further switch operation until the engine is started again.

This switch allows the driver to temporarily disengage the vehicle dynamic control (VDC) system. When the VDC OFF switch is pressed while the engine is running, the VDC OFF indicator light in the combination meter will illuminate. Pressing the VDC OFF switch again will deactivate the VDC OFF indicator light and return the system to an "engaged" status. The VDC will automatically return to an "engaged" status when the vehicle exceeds 38 mph (60 km/h).

NOTE: The VDC cannot be temporarily disengaged at speeds higher than 38 mph.
