DTC P1151: Rear Ho2S Heater Circuit High Input - Forester & IMPREZA 2.5L

  1. Perform basic diagnostic procedure. See BASIC DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE . Using DVOM connected to ground, backprobe ECM connector B134 (35-pin connector) terminal No. 21. See Figure. If voltage is more than 8 volts, go to next step. If voltage is not more than 8 volts, go to step  3.
  2. Turn ignition off. Locate and repair short to power in wiring between ECM and rear HO2S. See WIRING DIAGRAMS article. Using scan tool, observe rear HO2S heater current. If current draw is more than 7 amps, replace ECM. If current draw is not more than 7 amps, test is complete.
  3. Check for poor terminal contact in ECM connector and repair as required. If ECM connector is okay, test is complete. Clear memory and perform verification procedure. See CLEARING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES  and VERIFICATION PROCEDURE  .
