DTC P1120: Starter Switch Circuit High Input - Forester, IMPREZA, Legacy & Outback 2.5L M/T & Outback Sport

NOTE: On A/T vehicles, perform test in each gear position. On M/T vehicles, perform test with clutch depressed and released.

Perform basic diagnostic procedure. See BASIC DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE . If starter operates with ignition on, locate and repair short in starter circuit. After repair, replace ECM. If starter does not operate with ignition on, check starter motor circuit. See WIRING DIAGRAMS article. Clear memory and perform verification procedure. See CLEARING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES and VERIFICATION PROCEDURE .
