DTC P1115: Engine Torque Control Cut Signal Circuit High Input - Forester, IMPREZA & Outback Sport

  1. Perform basic diagnostic procedure. See BASIC DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE . Start and warm engine. Turn ignition off. Disconnect Transaxle Control Module (TCM) connector B54 (24-pin connector). Turn ignition on. Using DVOM connected to ground, backprobe ECM connector B134 (35-pin connector) terminal No. 31. See Figure. If voltage is less than 3 volts, go to next step. If voltage is not less than 3 volts, locate and repair short to voltage in wiring between ECM and TCM. See WIRING DIAGRAMS article. After repair, replace ECM.
  2. Turn ignition off. Using DVOM connected to ground, backprobe ECM connector B134 (35-pin connector) terminal No. 31 while wiggling harness and ECM connector. If voltage changes more than 10 volts while wiggling harness and ECM connector, locate and repair short to voltage in wiring between ECM and TCM. After repair, replace ECM. If voltage does not change more than 10 volts while wiggling harness and ECM connector, contact authorized Subaru dealership because probable cause is deterioration of multiple parts. Clear memory and perform verification procedure. See CLEARING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES  and VERIFICATION PROCEDURE  .
