DTC P0132: Front Ho2S Circuit Range/Performance Problem (High Input) - IMPREZA 2.2L, Legacy & Outback 2.5L M/T & Outback Sport
- Perform basic diagnostic procedure. See BASIC DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE . If DTC P1130, P1131, P1132, P1133 and/or P1134 exist, diagnose and repair those DTCs. If DTC P0131 or P0132 are only DTCs set, go to next step.
- Start engine and operate until coolant temperature is more than 160°F (70°C). If engine is already warmed up, operate engine at idle for at least one minute. Using scan tool, observe front HO2S output voltage. If front HO2S output voltage is .85-1.15 volt at idle, go to next step. If front HO2S output voltage is not .85-1.15 volt at idle, go to step 4.
- Slowly accelerate engine (five seconds) from idle to 5,000 RPM a total of 5 times. Using scan tool, select LED operation mode. If rear HO2S LED blinks, check for poor terminal contact at front and rear HO2S connectors. If LED does not blink on Legacy and Outback 2.5L M/T, check rear HO2S circuit. If LED does not blink on 2.2L, see DTC P0139: REAR HO2S CIRCUIT SLOW RESPONSE .
- Check exhaust system for damage or loose components. Repair or replace exhaust system components as necessary. If exhaust system is okay, replace front HO2S. Clear memory and perform verification procedure. See CLEARING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES and VERIFICATION PROCEDURE .
