DTC P0112: Intake Air Temperature (IAT) Sensor Circuit Low Input - Forester, IMPREZA 2.5L & Legacy & Outback 2.5L A/T

Perform basic diagnostic procedure. See BASIC DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE . Start engine. Using scan tool, observe intake air temperature signal. If temperature is more than 248°F (120°C), go to next step. If temperature is not more than 248°F (120°C), repair poor terminal contact in connectors between ECM and intake air temperature and pressure sensor. See WIRING DIAGRAMS article.
Turn ignition off. Disconnect intake air temperature and pressure sensor connector. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, observe intake air temperature signal. If temperature is less than -40°F (-40°C), replace intake air temperature and pressure sensor. If temperature is not less than -40°F (-40°C), locate and repair short to ground in wiring between ECM and intake air temperature and pressure sensor. Clear memory and perform verification procedure.
