Front Disc Brake Rotor: Removal

  1. Remove the brake pad. See FRONT DISC BRAKE PADS  .
  2. Remove the support. See Fig 1 .
    NOTE: Remove support only when replacing it or the rotor. It does not need to be removed when servicing the caliper body assembly.
  3. Remove disc rotor.
    NOTE: If disc rotor seizes up within the hub, drive the disc rotor out by installing an 8 mm bolt in the 2 holes on the rotor. See Fig 2 .
  4. Clean mud and foreign particles from the caliper body assembly and support.
