DTC P1100: Starter Switch Circuit Low Input - Forester, IMPREZA, Legacy & Outback 2.5L M/T & Outback Sport

NOTE: On M/T vehicles, perform test with clutch depressed. On A/T vehicles, perform test in Park or Neutral.

Perform basic diagnostic procedure. See BASIC DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE . If starter operates with ignition in ST position, locate and repair open or short circuit in wiring and check for poor terminal contact in connectors between ECM and starter motor. See Figure. If starter does not operate with ignition in ST position, check starter motor circuit. See WIRING DIAGRAMS article. Clear memory and perform verification procedure. See CLEARING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES  and VERIFICATION PROCEDURE  .
