DTC P0112: Intake Air Temperature (IAT) Sensor Circuit Low Input - IMPREZA 2.2L, Legacy & Outback 2.5L M/T & Outback Sport

  1. Perform basic diagnostic procedure. See BASIC DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE . Start engine. Using scan tool, observe intake air temperature sensor signal. If temperature is greater than 248°F (120°C), go to next step. If temperature is not greater than 248°F (120°C), repair poor terminal contact in connectors between ECM and IAT sensor. See WIRING DIAGRAMS article.
  2. Turn ignition off. Disconnect IAT sensor connector. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, observe IAT sensor signal. If temperature reads less than -40°F (-40°C), replace IAT sensor. If temperature does not read less than -40°F (-40°C), repair short to ground in wiring between ECM and IAT sensor. Clear memory and perform verification procedure. See CLEARING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES  and VERIFICATION PROCEDURE  .
