DTC P0106: Intake Air Temperature & Pressure Sensor Circuit Range/Performance Problem - Forester, IMPREZA 2.5L & Legacy & Outback 2.5L A/T

Perform basic diagnostic procedure. See BASIC DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE . If DTC P0106 is only DTC set, go to next step. If DTCs P0107, P0108 or P1112 exist, diagnose and repair those DTCs. Do not diagnose DTC P0106.
Check air intake system for loose bolts, holes or disconnected hoses. Repair or replace defective components as needed. If air intake system is sound and free of leaks, go to next step.
Start engine. Warm engine to above 140°F (60°C). Place transaxle in Neutral or Park. Turn A/C switch and all accessories off. Observe intake manifold pressure reading. Pressure should be 5.91-13.78 in. Hg at idle and 21.65-31.50. in. Hg with ignition on, engine off. If pressure is not within specification, replace intake air temperature sensor and pressure sensor. If pressure is within specification, go to next step.
Using scan tool, observe throttle position sensor signal. Throttle position should be equal to or less than 5% when throttle is fully closed. If throttle position is not within specification, adjust or replace throttle position sensor. See ON-VEHICLE ADJUSTMENTS article. If throttle position is within specification, go to next step.
Using scan tool, observe throttle position sensor signal. Throttle position should be equal to or more than 85% when throttle is fully open. If throttle position is not within specification, replace throttle position sensor. If throttle position is within specification, replace air temperature and pressure sensor. Clear memory and perform verification procedure. See CLEARING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES and VERIFICATION PROCEDURE .
