A4, A6, A8, S4 & TT

  1. Obtain radio anti-theft code from vehicle owner and write down preset radio frequencies. To disable air bag system, ensure ignition is off and remove key. Disconnect and shield negative battery cable.
  2. To activate system, turn ignition switch to ON position. Ensure no one is inside vehicle and connect negative battery cable. Perform a system operational check to ensure proper system operation. See SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK . Input radio anti-theft security code and reset radio frequencies.
