Oil Pan: Removal
- Disconnect negative battery cable. Place vehicle on hoist. Remove front wheels. Remove intake air duct, and air cleaner upper cover. Disconnect front oxygen sensor harness connector located below intake air duct. Remove torque strut (pitching stopper). Remove upper radiator brackets. Install engine lifting device and raise engine enough to take weight off engine mounts.
- Raise and support vehicle. Remove under cover(s). Drain engine oil. Disconnect rear oxygen sensor harness connector. Separate front catalytic converter from center exhaust pipe. Remove front and center exhaust pipe assembly from engine. Remove front and center exhaust pipe assembly from hanger bracket. Remove bolt that secures front and center exhaust pipe assembly on bracket.
- Remove front engine mount-to-crossmember nuts. Remove oil pan bolts. Using gasket cutter blade inserted between oil pan and engine block, cut through sealant and remove oil pan. DO NOT use screwdriver or pry bar to remove oil pan. Remove oil pick-up brace clamp strap and remove oil pick-up. Remove oil pick-up baffle. Remove all sealant from oil pan and engine block.
