DTC 21, 22 & 23: Vacuum Valve & Vent Valves 1 & 2

  1. Disconnect actuator harness connector. Check resistance between actuator terminals No. 2 and 3. See Figure . If resistance is less than 22 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 22 ohms or greater, replace actuator.
  2. Check resistance between actuator terminals No. 1 and 2. If resistance is less than 55 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 55 ohms or greater, replace actuator.
  3. Check resistance between actuator terminals No. 2 and 4. If resistance is less than 55 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 55 ohms or greater, replace actuator.
  4. Disconnect cruise control module harness connector. Check resistance between cruise control module harness connector terminal No. 1 and actuator harness connector terminal No. 1. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . If resistance is less than 10 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 10 ohms or greater, repair or replace wiring harness between actuator and cruise control module.
  5. Check resistance between cruise control module harness connector terminal No. 8 and actuator harness connector terminal No. 2. If resistance is less than 10 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 10 ohms or greater, repair or replace harness between actuator and cruise control module.
  6. Check resistance between cruise control module harness connector terminal No. 11 and actuator harness connector terminal No. 3. If resistance is less than 10 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 10 ohms or greater, repair or replace harness between actuator and cruise control module.
  7. Check resistance between cruise control module harness connector terminal No. 2 and actuator harness connector terminal No. 4. If resistance is less than 10 ohms, replace cruise control module. If resistance is 10 ohms or greater, repair or replace harness between actuator and cruise control module.
