DTC P1517: Idle Air Control (IAC) Solenoid Valve Signal No. 4 Circuit High Input - Except IMPREZA & Legacy 2.2L (CALIFORNIA Emissions)
- Turn ignition off. Using an ohmmeter connected to ground, check resistance at ECM connector B134 terminal No. 7. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 5 ohms or more, repair open in wiring or poor contact between ECM and ground.
- Ensure ignition is off. Disconnect IAC solenoid valve connector. Turn ignition on. Using a voltmeter connected to ground, check voltage at ECM connector B134 terminals No. 5, 6, 19 and 29. If voltage is more than 10 volts on any circuit, repair short to voltage in wiring between ECM and IAC solenoid valve connectors, then replace ECM. If voltage is less than 10 volts on all circuits, replace ECM.
