DTC P1325: Knock Sensor (KS) Circuit Low Input - Except IMPREZA & Legacy 2.2L (CALIFORNIA Emissions)
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect appropriate ECM connector. Using an ohmmeter, measure resistance between ground and ECM connector B136 terminal No. 4. If resistance is more than 700 k/ohms, go to step 3. If resistance is 700 k/ohms or less, leave ohmmeter connected and go to next step.
- If resistance is less than 400 k/ohms, go to step 5. If resistance is 400 k/ohms or more, go to step 6.
- Disconnect KS connector. Measure resistance between ground and KS connector terminal No. 2. If resistance is more than 700 k/ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 700 k/ohms or less, repair open in wiring or poor contact between ECM and KS connectors.
- Ensure KS is installed tightly. Tighten bolts as necessary. If bolts are tight, replace KS.NOTE: Wiring between both connectors is shielded. Repair short circuit in wiring together with shield.
- Disconnect KS connector. Measure resistance between KS terminals No. 1 and 2. If resistance is less than 400 ohms, replace KS. If resistance is 400 ohms or more, repair short in wiring between ECM and KS connectors.
- Reconnect ECM and KS connectors. Turn ignition on. Using voltmeter connected to ground, backprobe ECM connector B136 connector terminal No. 4. If voltage is more than 2 volts, system has returned to normal. Check for poor contact between ECM and KS connectors. If voltage is 2 volts or less, repair poor contact at ECM.
