Air Bag Main Wiring Harness Test
- Disable SRS. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM . Reconnect 7-pin Yellow AB1 and B31 connectors. Remove driver-side lower trim panel from dash. Unplug air bag module 3-pin Yellow connector AB3 and AB8 at base of steering column. See Figure .
- Unplug 12-pin Yellow connector AB6 from control unit. Connect battery cable. Turn ignition on. If AIR BAG warning light is off, replace air bag main wiring harness. If AIR BAG warning light is on, replace control unit. See CONTROL UNIT under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
