Clearing Codes

  1. After malfunction has been corrected, check for diagnostic codes again. See ENTERING SELF-DIAGNOSTICS.
  2. Ensure ignition is on (engine off) Connect one DIAG terminal to diagnostic connector terminal No. 1. While warning light is flashing, connect other DIAG terminal to terminal No. 2 for at least 3 seconds. See Figure .
  3. Verify codes have cleared. Disconnect both diagnostic terminals from diagnostic connector. Codes cannot be cleared if problem still exists.
