Impact Sensors

Impact and safety sensors are built into control unit. Sensors react to impacts according to direction and force and discriminate between impacts that require air bag inflation and those that do not. When an impact requiring air bag inflation occurs, an internal roller and switch complete an electrical circuit necessary for system operation. At least 2 sensors, one safety sensor and one impact sensor, must be closed simultaneously to inflate air bag.
