Removal & Installation (Legacy)

Disconnect negitive battery cable. Remove air intake duct. Remove carbon canister from engine compartment. Note hydraulic lines positions for installation reference. Disconnect hydraulic lines from hydraulic unit. Plug all openings. Remove cover from hydraulic unit. Disconnect harness connectors. Remove bolts retaining hydraulic unit. Remove hydraulic unit. To install, reverse removal procedure. When installing a new control unit, apply Rust Preventive Wax (Nippeco LT or GB) to retaining bolts after tightening them.
