DTC 31, 32 & 33: Vacuum Pump, Air Valve & Release Valve

  1. Check Vacuum Pump And Valve Assembly

    Check vacuum pump and valve assembly. See VACUUM PUMP & VALVE ASSEMBLY  under COMPONENT TESTS. If assembly is okay, go to next step. If assembly is defective, replace vacuum pump and valve assembly.

  2. Check Harness

    Disconnect cruise control module harness connector. Measure resistance in wires between vacuum pump and valve assembly and cruise control module harness connectors. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . If resistance is 10 ohm or less in all wires, replace cruise control module. If resistance is greater than 10 ohms in any wire(s), repair open in appropriate wire(s).
