Removal & Installation (Impreza & Legacy FWD)
Lift and support vehicle. See Fig 1. Disconnect lateral links from housing. Remove rear exhaust pipe and muffler. Remove heat shield cover. Support crossmember with jack. Unbolt and remove crossmember. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten lateral link bolts with vehicle on ground. Tighten bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
