Ground Circuit Test

  1. Turn ignition off. Unplug 7-pin Yellow connector AB1 from body wiring harness connector B39. Connector is located behind left kick panel. Plug connector AB1 into connector 2A of test harness "A". See Figure .
  2. Measure resistance between ground and terminals No. 17 and 18 at connector 5B of test harness "B2". If resistance is less than 10 ohms at both terminals No., go to next step. If resistance is more than 10 ohms at any terminal, repair body grounding circuit.
  3. Unplug connector AB1 from test harness "A". Connect AB1 and B39 connectors together. Unplug 12-pin Yellow connector AB6 from control unit. Plug connector AB6 into connector 8B of test harness "B2". See Figure . Measure resistance between ground and terminals No. 11 and 12 at connector 5B of test harness "B2". If resistance is more than 10 ohms, replace air bag main wiring harness. If resistance is less than 10 ohms, replace control unit.
