"Unlatch" Warning Signal Is Emitted Although Lap Belt Is Properly Latched To Buckle.

  1. Check lap belt switch. Remove seat and disconnect lap belt switch connector. Disconnect connector from control unit. Latch belt tongue in place. Measure resistance between lap belt switch's terminals. Resistance should be: 1 Ohm max. If not okay, replace lap belt switch. If okay, proceed.

  2. Check wire harness. Remove seat and disconnect lap belt switch connector. Disconnect connector from control unit. Measure resistance between lap belt switch connector and control unit connector. Resistance should be: R43 No.16 to R12 No.2/1 Ohm max. If not okay, repair wire harness. If okay, repair control unit terminal poor contact or replace control unit.
