Trouble Code 22-Door Latch Switch (On Passenger's Side) Remains Off.

Check for faulty door latch switch or faulty harness/ connector. See Figure. Symptom includes: Passenger's shoulder anchor does not operate.

  1. Measure signal voltage at control unit. Turn ignition switch ON (with engine OFF). Measure signal voltage at control unit connector. Voltage should be: R43 No.10 to Body/0 Volts (Door open) and R43 No.11 to Body/0 Volts (Door closed). If okay, Repair control unit terminal poor contact or replace control unit. If not okay, proceed.
  2. Check door latch switch. Disconnect connector from door latch switch. See Figure. Measure resistance between door latch switch terminals. Resistance should be: No.1 to No.2/1 Ohm max. (Door closed) and No.1 to No.3/1 Ohm max. (Door open). If not okay, replace door latch switch. If okay, proceed.
  3. Check harness/ connector between control unit and door latch switch. Disconnect connector from door latch switch. Disconnect connector from control unit. Measure resistance between control unit connector and door latch switch connector, and between door latch switch connector and body. Resistance should be: R43 No.10 to P47 No.3/1 Ohm max. R43 No.11 to P47 No.2/1 Ohm max. and P47 No.1 to Body/1 Ohm max. If not okay, repair harness/ connector. If okay, repair control unit terminal poor contact or replace control unit.
