Removal (Justy)

  1. Remove rear hub cap, center cap and cotter pin. Apply brakes and loosen castle nut. Raise and support vehicle. Remove wheel. Remove castle nut, washer spring and center piece.
  2. Remove brake drum. Remove brakeline bracket from rear housing. Remove brake assembly and wire aside. Use a pin punch to drive out spring pin retaining inboard joint to differential. See Fig 1 .

  3. Remove strut, lower arm and trailing link from rear housing. Remove rear housing and axle shaft as a unit. Using Removers (922493000 and 921122000 ), remove axle shaft from rear housing. See Fig 2 .
