Loyale, XT & XT6

Replace oil pressure gauge if gauge reading does not lower with ignition off. Turn ignition on. If gauge reading does not increase, check for defective fuse. Replace fuse if defective. If fuse is not defective, proceed to step 2). If gauge reading increases, proceed to step 4).
Ensure 12 volts exists on Yellow/Black wire of 12-pin connector (Loyale) or Light Green/Black wire of 21-pin connector (XT and XT6) at rear of instrument cluster. If 12 volts exists, repair defective wiring between oil pressure gauge and oil pressure sending unit.
If 12 volts does exist, in step 2), check for 12 volts on Black/White wire of 12-pin connector (Loyale) or Red/Yellow wire of 21-pin connector (XT and XT6) at rear of instrument cluster. If voltage exists, replace oil pressure gauge. If voltage does exist, check for defective power supply to instrument cluster from ignition.
If oil pressure gauge operates, remove connector from oil pressure sending unit. Connect a 140-ohm resistor between oil pressure sending unit connector and ground.
Oil pressure gauge should now read 57 psi (4 kg/cm² ). If reading is correct, replace oil pressure sending unit. If reading is not correct, replace oil pressure gauge.
