Fuel Gauge & Sending Unit: Justy

  1. Turn ignition switch to ACC position. Note if fuel gauge indicates below empty. If fuel gauge does not indicate below EMPTY, replace fuel gauge.
  2. If fuel gauge indicates below EMPTY, turn ignition on. Ensure voltage exists at the fuse. If voltage exists, proceed to step 3). If fuse is blown, replace fuse and check for shorts in wiring. If no voltage exists, check for broken wiring harness between battery and fuse box. Repair wiring as necessary.
  3. Ensure 12 volts exists between Green/White wire and ground at back of combination meter connector. If voltage exists, proceed to step 4). If voltage did not exist, check for open in wiring between fuse box and combination meter. Repair wiring as necessary.
  4. Connect 17-ohm resistor between fuel tank sending unit Green/White wire and ground. If gauge reads FULL, replace fuel tank sending unit.
