Resistance Test (Legacy)

  1. Remove and unplug fuel tank sending unit. With float at empty position, use an ohmmeter and measure sender resistance. Resistance should be 92 ohms.
  2. With float at 1/2 full position, sending unit resistance should be 48.5 ohms. With float at full position, sending unit resistance should be 5 ohms. Replace sending unit as necessary.
