Loyale, XT & XT6

  1. If voltmeter needle will not lower with ignition off, replace voltmeter. Turn ignition on. If voltmeter operates, proceed to step 3). If voltmeter does not operate, check for defective fuse. Replace fuse if defective.
  2. If fuse is okay, ensure 12 volts exists on Black/White wire of 12-pin connector (Loyale) or Red/Yellow wire of 21-pin connector (XT and XT6) at rear of instrument cluster. If voltage does not exist, check for defective wiring to instrument cluster. Replace voltmeter if voltage exists.
  3. Ensure battery is fully charged. Turn headlights and all accessories on and note voltmeter reading. Voltmeter should read 11.5 to 12.5 volts. Replace voltmeter is voltage reading is incorrect.
