Description & Operation

All models are equipped with front disc brakes. Rear brakes are leading/trailing type drum or disc brakes. On all models except Justy, parking brake is mechanically actuated on REAR brakes.

All manual transaxle models (except Justy) are equipped with Hill-Holder. Incorporated in the primary brake line from the master cylinder, Hill-Holder permits easy starting while parked on a hill. It uses a Pressure Hold Valve (PHV) to control fluid flow to and from brakes until clutch pedal is released. PHV is linked to clutch pedal and is also controlled by gravity.
