Fitting Pistons

  1. Measure piston skirt diameter with temperature of 68°F (20°C). Piston skirt diameter should be measured at 90 degree angle to piston pin at designated distanced from bottom of piston skirt.
  2. Measure at .787" (19.98 mm) for XT Coupe and non-turbo models or 1.059" (26.90 mm) on turbo models. Clearance between piston and cylinder bore must be within specification. See PISTONS, PINS & RINGS table
